About UNDERCOVER
Founded in 1990 by designer Jun Takahashi, UNDERCOVER is known for blending elements of street fashion, art, music, and subculture into high-end fashion. With its distinctive and conceptual collections, the brand has carved out a unique presence in the fashion world. Since 2002, UNDERCOVER has been presenting its collections in Paris, having moved from its original base in Tokyo.
Wearing the Sole, Not the Shoe
A series in which the outsole is designed so symbolically that it appears to swallow the upper.
The image is that of a massive body moving lightly through water — like an orca swimming with unexpected grace.
A construction in which the outsole envelops a chunky, cushioned midsole brings the same sense of lightness found throughout the series to the foot.
The upper is a soft, high-cut knit featuring a striking front zipper for added impact. The UNDERCOVER logo is printed along the side of the outsole, subtly marking the collaboration.
Heel height is approximately 7 cm, delivering both stature and comfort.
